Selection process

CBE: Session-I qualifying (evaluated first), merit on Session-II normalised scores -> MTS: final merit by Session-II score and post-cum-State/UT preference; Havaldar: shortlisted 1:7 for PET/PST, then merit. Separate category-wise, State/UT-wise and age-group-wise cut-offs for MTS; CCA-wise for Havaldar. Candidates failing PET/PST remain eligible for MTS.

Age limit: As on 01-08-2025: MTS 18-25 years (born 02-08-2000 to 01-08-2007); Havaldar and a few MTS posts 18-27 years (born 02-08-1998 to 01-08-2007). Relaxation: SC/ST 5 yrs, OBC 3 yrs, PwBD 10 yrs (OBC 13, SC/ST 15), ESM 3 yrs after deducting service. Attempts: No limit (within age limit). Nationality: Citizen of India, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or specified persons of Indian origin (certificate of eligibility needed).
